What is Marine Engineering?

Marine engineering is a field that deals with the designing, operation and maintenance of ships submarines and other sailing vessels. Marine engineering can be called as a sub branch of mechanical engineering in a broader sense because it deals with the manufacture and designing of machinery used on the sea. It also encompasses designing up to date tracking equipment and navigational equipment used in ships for sailing.
