The life of just about every person can be broken down in to a few major segments of it. At the very start of life is childhood wherein one is for the most part concerned mostly with playing and is dependent heavily on their caretakers. It is also in this period of people’s lives that they are introduced in to institutions such as school among other things. As one moves on from their days in diapers and daytime naps they move on their teenage years.
A period of time ruled for the most part by school and the formation of people’s identity through the socializing that they do with other people. The period of early adulthood is when people are usually in college or begin starting their jobs. This is a part of people’s lives where there is a great deal of changes that take place and where important decisions are to be made. This is also the time when people start to take on more tasks in their everyday lives and evidence of that can be seen in the fact that there are students that work jobs in order to pay for their education while still in school.
The relationship between a job and education is indeed a very remarkable one. One of the primary reasons that people go to school is to of course get a good career afterward. Students strive for good grades and apply themselves to all sorts of extra curricular activities so that they can be able to get that good career at the end of it. It is however not a foregone conclusion that the educational path that students venture on will be the same one that they travel on as they finish with school. There are many people that deviate from their field of education in college and instead go after a different career.
It maybe for financial reasons or simply because jobs in their field may not actually be available but the fact remains that one’s course in college will determine their professional life afterward. Another interesting part of the dynamic that exists between the job and education is the fact that students routinely go for jobs while still in school. This can at times prove to be a distraction for the students but it is also more often than not a necessity more than anything. Jobs are worked to help pay for school and one such program that serves as an example of that is the employer tuition assistance.
This purpose of this program is to help a person or their dependents get through school through the means of working a job. This is done through providing financial aid and since they are not counted towards income they are then not considered for taxation. There are also certain conditions that maybe agreed upon by the employee and the employer. This may involve such things as working for the employer for a certain period of time even after the completion of school and this program also has a limit in the amount of financial aid that it can provide. Grade requirements and documents may also be required by the employer that is providing the financial aid.
