What was improved in education system and what we have now

During 1980′s there was a nationwide research into youngsters education levels which clearly indicated Americans were falling behind other nations, to make things even worse there were over 20 million functionally illiterate people. The government’s response was “A Nation at Risk” – document which turned things around. US economic growth slowed down by “education gap”

According to Standard & Poor’s recent research American predicted ten years’ economic growth has fallen short by 0,3 % thanks to income inequality and education gap created by it. There are more than just a few interesting connections made between possible causes in Standard & Poor’s report which states that US “faulty” education system may need to change.
