Online Law Courses

Online Law CoursesAspiring lawyers study seven years in order to complete a degree in law. The education timeframe is divided into two: four years for an undergraduate degree and three years in a law school. Graduates who want to specialize in a specific legal field and thus advance their career may choose to undergo further studies. Such studies can be done through distance learning. An online law certificate is granted to those who complete their online studies.

Some first year associates in law only earn $35,000. Typically, they earn about $70,000 per year. In May 2004, the US Labor Statistics reported that law practitioners earned a median income of $94,930 annually. However, professionals aspiring for a better salary can earn anywhere from $100,000 to $200,000 if they enhance their qualifications through further studies.

Aside from its high salary rates, a law degree also offers a multitude of professional opportunities in business, civil service, finance, insurance, policy analysis, social work, and education. Online programs offered may specialize in business law, criminal law, federal tax, intellectual property, and public interest.
