Online Sociology CoursesAn online sociology certificate provides students with a solid foundation in the field and can be equivalent to an associate's degree completed by students who actually attend in a university or college. Course time for such online training program is usually equivalent to two semesters of study. However, the time frame and the program can be redesigned to meet the learning needs and the pace of a student.

After getting a certificate, a graduate may choose to pursue a bachelor's degree which offers a wider range of careers upon completion.
