Associate of Arts in Communications

The field of communications plays a big role in the society today. The mass media is a very good example of why there is a need to study communications. As the media is the 4th estate of the government, the production of media crew such as reporters, journalists, newscasters, and the like are needed. And that can only be done through the study of communication.

University of Phoenix is now offering a degree in Associate of Arts, major in Communications. The course will teach students different ways of understanding and practicing the exchange of information effectively. Students will tackle specific topics, such as interpersonal and intrapersonal communication, which are basics in taking the next step to group communication, until students will become accustomed to public speaking and the mass media.

Students of the course will be taught problem solving information strategies and different news presentations for print, broadcast media, and web delivery.
