Master of Science in Accounting - Accounting Info Systems

The graduate course Master of Science in Accounting (MSAC) is a program designed for students interested in pursuing a career in accounting and consultancy. The program has been developed to enhance skills necessary for positions in government, non-government, or private institutions. The curriculum offers a number of courses designed to assist graduates in preparing for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Exam and the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Exam.
The program typically offers 10 courses, 5 of which include a wide perspective on the different environments (such the economy, finance and taxation) where accounting operates. The other 5 courses tackle the very foundations of the Accounting Information Systems including their analyses, design, implementation, maintenance and audit.
Most courses are heavily computer-oriented, project based and writing intensive. It requires students to have in-depth knowledge in atleast 1 operating system and several programming languages. The student will also learn several skills including database management and network computing.
