Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration - Nonprofit Management and Leadership (Course-Based)

This specialization answers the need for capable individuals who are able to attend and maintain democratic and social institutions in order for society to prosper. Students are trained to become knowledgeable social-change agents through scholarly inquiry, applied research, and effective participation in institutions.
The degree programs and certificates offered by Walden University's School of Public Policy and Administration, the first fully online public administration school in the US, are designed to provide public sector and non profit professionals the knowledge and skills to create solutions for a variety of organizations.
The university's course-based program is comprised of online courses, specifically structured for the student to follow and complete to be become eligible for graduation in three years depending on his or her performance. Students are required to complete 82 total quarter credit hours of the required courses including a dissertation; a Professional Development Plan and Program of Study, 20 days of residency, and an 8-9 quarters enrolment minimum.
