For example, in a survey conducted in 2007, computer and information systems managers had an average annual salary of $108,070, computer and information scientists $97,970, network systems analysts $68,220, and network administrators $64,690.

Businesses that have a great need for qualified information systems professional include insurance companies, software publishers, computer design firms and data processing outfits. In addition, industries that are known to pay generous salaries to IT personnel include the telecommunication, securities, commodities, and financial sectors.
