Master of Science - Cybersecurity

Virginia College's Masters of Science in Cybersecurity is interested with deepening the understanding of information technology security procedures and practices. This degree involves its students with different issues and challenges that the field of computer security faces, as well as study different security methods currently available. This course also explores different aspects related to computer security, which includes issues such as cyber-laws, cyber-crimes, cyber-terrorisms, cyber-forensics and many more. Students of this degree will also be taught how to counteract and strengthen security liabilities in a system.
Students of this degree will be exposed to the world of cyber crimes, and the curriculum involves topics relating to network administration, firewall management, detection, and others. They will also be taught how to create stronger systems that will be able to withstand cyber attacks. The course develops individuals who are able to become leaders in the profession and in the workplace, through higher learning and higher awareness that this course offers, as well as increase their capabilities in the field.
