Online Networks Degree Programs

Online Networks Degree ProgramsA growing number of companies are beginning to integrate network systems into their operations to increase operational efficiency and productivity. Computer network professionals are needed by companies to ensure that their network infrastructure is secure and relevant. Companies cannot afford to have a network system that is vulnerable to hacking and tampering since this would put their integrity and reputation at a great risk. Data passed and cascaded to employees may contain highly sensitive and classified information that if accessed by third parties may be detrimental to the company.

A typical coursework of an online network degree include disciplines such as operating systems directory services, network security, authentication schemes, local and wide area networking. Students may also have supplemental laboratory classes that will give them an opportunity to test theories that they have learned in class in real life applications.

There is a wealth of good paying jobs awaiting network degree graduates. According to a 2007 survey conducted the Bureau of Labor Statistics, computer systems managers earned an annual median salary of $108,070, computer systems analysts $73,090, network systems analysts $68,220, network and computer systems administrators $64,690.
