BS in Secondary Education: Social Studies

A bachelor's degree in social studies teaching prepares students for a teaching career in the secondary education level (grades 7 to 12). Training in the fields of anthropology, sociology and history is apparently one of the major highlights in this course. In conjunction with this social sciences training is the integration of these bodies of knowledge into a coherent teaching module. This will, in turn, be used for the other facet of this degree program which is the teaching component. With both areas comprehensively discussed, the students for this program will be prepared for a successful career in this field.

As part of their training in teaching the focus area of this program, the students will be asked to conduct a teaching class in educational institutions wherein they will be able to apply what they have learned in this online degree program. Moreover, this is also an additional training in job application which they will eventually do some time after graduation.
