Master of Distance Education

Education and learning has transcended the four corners of the classroom, aided by the advent of e-learning through the internet. The current growth rate of people adhering and choosing distance learning is appalling and has induced the need for graduates of Master of Distance Education.
Students of Master of Distance Education will be taught comprehensive, practical knowledge necessary to teach audiences of various backgrounds. The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) offers a course that students will be able to apply effectively and directly on the distance education enterprise. Students will be taught how to operate and set-up synchronous and asynchronous technologies. More than that, Master of Distance Education graduates will: be able to communicate and convince organizations of the significance of distance education, learn leadership and managerial skills within a distance or training organization, and many more. This course also emphasizes critical assessment and analysis of distance communication situations in various contexts.
