M.Ed. Program Specialist - Reading

There are many people who struggle reading, as well as comprehending texts or messages. University of Liberty aims to teach these people through training professionals who are ahead in teaching reading and communicating skills. This program of education specializes on reading as a tool for understanding other people, text, as well as the messages that are written in the God's scriptures. Christian literary texts are still incorporated in the programs that University of Liberty offers.
Master in Education Program Specialist in Reading teaches future educators ways on how to lessen reading and writing difficulties. There are relevant literary texts that are included in the course syllabus, which will assess the student's acquisition and comprehension. Trainings that are included in the course outline are: phonics trainings, word recognition, reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary development, spelling, and creative writing.
Practicum will also be required from students, either in the form of group interaction and one-on-one interaction; this practice will best prepare the students in their pull-out programs, and inclusion classrooms or informal set-up of teaching.
