M.S. in Education - Literacy and Learning in the Content Areas (Grades 6 12)

Literacy is very important in the world today. Students need to be taught well at an early stage to assure a good future in their careers. Along with that, basic subjects in schools such as History, Math, Science and the like need to be taught as well, without stopping literacy education. However, there are a lot of teachers who are not trained to incorporate literacy with different content areas. That is why Walden University is offering a course in Literacy and Learning in the Content Areas for Grades 6 to 12, with a Master of Science in Education degree.
The course will teach the educators, ways of improving children's literacy, while still teaching and applying content areas such as English, Social Studies, and the like. The program includes research-based strategies that will help them prepare children for tougher, complex, abstract and more sophisticated type of learning in the classroom setting.
