Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision - Counseling and Social Change

There are a lot of changes happening in the society nowadays. And there are some people who cannot cope with such changes, which is why there is a need for counselors who are prepared for social change, and are skilled in counseling at the same time.
Walden University is now offering a course in Counseling and Social Change, with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Counselor Education and Supervision. The course will prepare students for roles as advocates and change agents for counseling in different communities. The curriculum of the course will teach ways of applying ethical practices and leadership skills for various community, national, and even international issues, which may benefit their respective careers.
Students of the course will be given the chance to examine modern and current trends and use prevention, intervention, and consultation models which can help respond to the community needs due to social change. The course is offered online, but will still have time for hands on trainings.
