MS - Social and Community Services

MS in Social and Community Services enhances one's capabilities of bringing about and advocating positive social change in the community where he belongs. The course stimulates its students to question public policy aimed at community development and assess whether these policies are doing their primary purpose. Students are also educated on how develop a development plan for marginalized communities.
Students of this program can expect to discuss topics such as cultural awareness, public policy, social change, and the usage of community resources. They can also have an in-depth understanding of the long process of public policy creation - from the design, ratification, implementation and assessment.
Electives offered for this course allows student to specialize on any chosen topic including public health and homeland security, to name a few.
