Ph.D. in Human Services - General Program

The Ph.D. in Human Services Degree offered in Walden University is a program that aims to develop leadership and communication skills among working professionals, and provide an interdisciplinary method in studying human services. It gives more freedom and possibilities for students who are interested in the course, but isn't looking for a particular specialization. The course provides equal opportunities for students to encourage respect and understanding of diverse populations and be multi-cultural communicators, able to show sensitivity towards cultural differences between different nationalities and backgrounds. It also emphasizes the need for ethical responsibility in being an effective practitioner. Students are given the freedom to choose a general or specialized program.
Part of the specialized knowledge area modules are: Intervention Strategies in Human Services, Advanced Case Study in Human Services, Advanced Theory and Practice in Human Services.
