Ph.D. in Psychology - Health Psychology

The world has evolved in a transformation that encouraged people to explore possibilities that unfortunately includes unhealthy habits, such as smoking, drinking, and poor nutrition, that leads to illnesses and even death. Walden University has designed Health Psychology in order to understand the human mechanisms behind the choice that they make, and why these are tolerated despite the known effects.
A Ph. D. in Health Psychology can improve skills in the understanding and treatment of problems, in relation to teaching patients on how to cope an understand their own problems. The curriculum is intended to train students to become practitioners in various healthcare settings, using effective management skills and efficient group operative skills.
There can be many causes, and with research, students can look forward to becoming solutions-providers, instead of just practitioners focused on delivery of service. The concentration develops into a more expansive course outline, furthering understanding and developing core skills needed in the practice of theories and new discoveries.
