PhD - Nursing Education

Nursing in the United States is plagued with lack of nursing faculty where this field's educational system is calling for qualified individuals who can prepare them into life in this field. Capella University's PhD in Nursing Education is a degree designed to develop competent and capable individuals who are willing to educate the next generation nurses. This course will be give its students the necessary training that they need in order to attain this goal such as theoretical knowledge about practices and procedures being used in the field, planning the curriculum in order for it to be conducive for learning and teaching strategies that can be used in the classroom. Students of this course will also be taught better evaluative tools in order to determine their student's mastery on the subject matter. In addition to this, students of Nursing Education will also be encouraged to produce research relevant to the field where they will be taught advanced research techniques and strategies in order to produce relevant quality papers for the field.
