B.S. Natural Resources

Today, the world is faced with problems involved of conserving natural resources. Oregon State University's B.S. Natural Resources is a degree program that is meant to produce experts who can propose solutions in this problem. This degree program seeks to provide graduates with a breadth and depth of technical scientific knowledge spanning various natural disciplines, and emphasizes exposure to the social sciences and the human dimension of natural policy and management.

Students will encounter a broad span of courses on natural resources, their diversity and interdependence, and the critical relationship between humans and their environment. As a student specializing in Natural Resources, one will study am interdisciplinary curriculum based on agricultural sciences, forestry, and liberal arts and science. They will also study about the ecological, social and political components of resource management. Students will be aided by the program in beginning preparations for a career in natural resources, or for further study at the graduate level.
