B.A./B.S. Political Science

Oregon State University's B.A./B.S. Political Science is for individuals who are interested in politics and policy, local and abroad. This degree program investigates a variety of topics, from local politics and American government fundamentals, to ethics in international relations. This wide array of topics provides the students with a broad range of knowledge and perspectives. Those who are interested in continuing to law school are also suited for this degree program.
As students who are specializing in Political Science, they will learn from experienced OSU faculty in the Political Science degree, along with extensive coursework in environmental politics and policy. Also, they will have the opportunity to supplement their degree with one of the university's 12 minors, including Business and Entrepreneurship and U.S. History. They will also develop skills for careers in areas such as local, state and national government, international affairs, political consulting, nonprofit sectors and law. Students are given the option to take a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.
