Master of Science in Criminal Justice

Master of Science in Criminal Justice curriculum offered by Bowling Green State University is designed around building a knowledge base in specialized areas of law enforcement and criminal justice. The Masters Degree program offers an advanced combination of theory and practice in the areas of law, ethics, crime and criminology, applied research methods, statistical methods, constitutional theory, management skills, victimology, issues critical in criminal justice and crime and criminology as a whole.
Criminal justice or crime justice involves the study of crime as a social phenomenon, the different causes of crime, criminal behavior, and other aspects of crime and the justice system. This course furthers your knowledge of crime and the criminal justice system by studying and applying theory, research methods, statistics, policy and administration all within the field of crime and criminal justice. The structure and components are similar to regular Universities but with the accelerated program, students are able to concentrate on one specific course at a time and earn a degree in as less as 16 months.
