Ph.D. in Human Services - Criminal Justice

The Ph.D. program in Criminal Justice from Walden University enables professionals to further develop their skills in the field through the different theories and models presented in the course, and the professional practice that is required among students. This program allows students to be informed about the current issues that are present, especially those that are related to juvenile delinquency, public safety, and the court. Students are taught how to find possible solutions to restrain and eliminate criminal behavior and tendencies. Students are exposed to topics that help in societal and human development. Demographic shifts, behavior among different racial and ethnic communities, interpersonal violence, and drug abuse are some of the many issues that are examined by students, in order to gain further knowledge and possibly find solutions to eradicate criminal behavior.
Through the criminal justice degree, students are challenged to provide possible solutions and studies that may help in contributing to the community.
