Bowling Green State University
The Bowling Green State University or BGSU was established in the state of Ohio in 1910 and the classes were started in 1914. Progressing steadily, the BGSU had student strength of more than 20,000, with about 3,000 graduate students in the 2008-2009 academic period. The university is offering over 200 bachelor degree programs, one special degree program, and 10 certificate programs, along with 47 masters' degree programs and 16 doctorate degree programs. The university is considered a premier institution for teacher licensure programs, with specialization in early childhood teaching for pre-KG to 3rd, middle school teaching for grades 4 to 9, adolescent-young adult teaching for grades 7 to 12, special education teaching for grades KG to 12, and foreign language teaching for grades KG to 12. The graduate residential fees for a credit hour in the main campus are about $456, with a non-resident fee of $305, totaling $761 for each credit hour. The residential fees for credit hours between 12 and 18 are $5,466 and the non-resident fee being $3,654, making a total of $9,120. For credits above 18 hours, an additional fee of $50 per hour would be applicable. For the undergraduate programs in the main campus, the total non-resident fees are $661 for each credit hour. For credit hours ranging between 12 and 18, the total fees are $7,925. For the undergraduate programs in Firelands campus, the total fees per credit hour are $511, while the total fees would be $5,760 for credit hours between 11 and 18.

The BGSU online programs include 3 bachelor degree programs, 8 masters' degree programs and 1 doctorate degree program, apart from 4 certificate programs. For some of the programs, some amount of campus time is compulsory, while other programs could be completed through online learning, without any campus attendance. The Blackboard technology is used for online teaching, for which a special orientation is given to the new students registering for online programs.
