Columbia Southern University is an online university, with an open enrollment policy, flexible learning schedules, and affordable tuition fees. The Columbia Southern University offers affiliate, bachelor, master, doctoral, and certificate programs in several fields that include industry-specific subjects such as business administration, fire science, occupational safety and health, criminal justice administration, etc.

The university provides 5 associate degree programs, 24 bachelor degree programs, 13 master degree programs, 1 doctoral degree program, and 15 certificate programs in graduate and undergraduate levels. Open and Flexible Programs of Columbia Southern University

The Columbia Southern University follows an open enrollment policy, enabling the student to join the classes at any point of time. The university does not have predetermined session or semester dates. The faculty and staff of the university provide all the required support until the student completes the degree program. Each student is assigned with a personal Student Service Representative, who interacts with the student on a one-to-one basis until the student completes the education.

The faculty members are also allotted to each student at the beginning of each course, so that the student gets the best personal educational support to enhance knowledge and skills. The students are allowed to work at their own pace and complete the assignments in their own time frame, with the necessary and guidance and support from the faculty members and other instructors for successful course completion.

The course curriculum, the contents, and the assignments are done completely online. The university accepts credit transfers from CLEP or the College Level Examination Program and DANTES or Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education. Further, credits up to 75% of undergraduate courses and 50% of master's level courses are allowed to be transferred into the degree programs. Academic credits, relevant professional licenses and, special training certificates are taken into consideration while evaluating these credits.

Tuition Fees and Financing

The tuition fees at the Columbia Southern University are $195 for every credit hour for undergraduate programs, $260 for graduate programs, and $295 for doctorate programs. The university offers book grants so that the students get textbooks at no extra cost. Students are provided with necessary guidance and support in obtain Federal Financial Aid and other grants and loans by the US Department of Education.
