Crown College

Crown College was established in 1916 as an institution for students who wanted to study the Bible and had been following the traditional for the last 93 years. In 1975, the Crown College obtained the accreditation of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools or NCA and also obtained the membership of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities or CCCU. The college expanded the academic courses with the introduction of new areas of study that covered important subjects as majors. The name of the college was changed to Crown College in 1992.

Programs Offered by Crown College

The Crown College offers several special undergraduate degree programs, with 4 programs in Biblical and Theological Studies, 5 programs in Business and Sport Management, 6 programs in Christian Ministry, 4 programs in Communication Arts, 1 program in Science, 1 program in Nursing, 10 programs in Humanities and Social Science, 3 programs in Music, and 7 programs in Teacher Education Department.

The honors programs offered by the Crown College cover 8 different fields. Students pursuing the honors programs have the advantage of earning 15 scholarships ranging from $2000 per year to full tuition fees. The programs are mainly directed at preparing the students in developing critical Christian thinking and loving God while serving the society. Students applying for the honors programs are selected on the basis of their high school GPA, entrance test scores such as SAT or ACT, the class rank, leadership experience, personal testimony, and recommendations. Only 20 students are accepted each year for the honors programs.

Crown College Education Costs and Financial Aid

The enrolment process in the Crown College is different for different categories, such as first year student, transfer student, international student, and post-secondary enrolment option.

The annual tuition and fees are about $19,870 and the room and board charges are $7,366. For the nursing students, the fees are $2,000 extra for each year. However, the students are free to avail the FAFSA federal and state grants, as well as the federal student loans, apart from on-campus employment opportunities. The average financial aid award for the student is around $11,000, including the grants from federal and state financing, Perkins Loan, Stafford Loan, and the institutional aid. The students should also take into account the cost of books, supplies, lab fees, parking fees, health insurance, and other incidental charges.
