This university which is situated on the northern bank of the Spokane River is run based on the humanistic ideals followed by the Catholics and Jesuits. The all round education provided in the university helps students show growth and improvement not only in terms of education, but also faith, character and service.

The campus of Gonzaga University is spread over 131 acres and this place currently plays host to 6,923 students studying for the graduate and undergraduate degrees in various disciplines. Students not only from Washington and the United States of America, but from over 50 countries around the world have made way to this college to study various courses.

In order to adapt to the dynamically changing world of education, Gonzaga University, in addition to full time courses, also offers part time courses, online courses, and Day College and evening college facilities. There are over 43 undergraduate courses to choose from, in addition to, two doctoral degrees and 26 master's degrees. Study programs are also offered in over 15 countries around the world.

The university is comprised of many sections which are the School of Professional Studies, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, School of Business Administration, College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education and School of Law.

In addition to academics, there are various other services and activities for students that are available in the campus. A few main ones are

  • The Career Center which helps them with job placements once they complete their education in the university.
  • Health Center which is responsible for the health and well being of the students. In recent times, Gonzaga University, through its health center offered H1N1 vaccination for all students on their campus.
  • Counseling and Career Assessment Center offers career counseling, consulting services and psychological counseling to the students.
