Marylhurst University

Marylhurst University founded in the year 1893 as Marylhurst College by the 'Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary'. However this private Christian institute became independent forming its own board, in the 1958. In 1974 the university switched to a co-educational institute. This University is situated in Marylhurst in the state of Oregon. The year 1998 the Marylhurst College became a University, the first of its kind in its county. It is also the oldest among the Catholic Universities in the state.

The international Assembly for Collegiate Business Education accredits the Business Programs at the University.

In the year 2004 the Council for Adult Experimental Learning Institutional Service Award was given to the University for its Best Practices in the field of adult education, an honor bestowed on six other universities in the US.
