Saint Xavier University

Saint Xavier University was founded in the year 1864 and this is one of the few universities in the nation that is sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy. This university provides the opportunity to over 5,700 students per year to participate in undergraduate and graduate programs. There are 5 branches of education or schools at this university and two of these schools are School of Nursing and Graham School of Management. 90 percent of the students who are enrolled in this school study away from the campus but this university encourages people in the city to visit the campus so that they can benefit from activities on the campus. Life at Saint Xavier University

This university offers more than 30 undergraduate majors and over 25 graduate majors to their students. Over 90% of the students enrolled at Saint Xavier University get financial aid so that they can continue studies without worrying about money. The students that study at the campus are offered a choice to live at one of the five residencies and over 800 students live on the university's campus. The Byrne Memorial Library located on the campus is meant to help students research for their projects as assignments. This library has a large collection of old and new literatures along with periodicals. Online and electronic resources are also offered to students at the Byrne Memorial Library at Saint Xavier University.

Online Education and Education Away From the Campus

In addition to the regular courses offered Saint Xavier University also offers two online degrees. These master's degrees are meant for students who want to specialize in nursing and education. Twenty four hours technical support is offered to all the students who enrol for online education at Saint Xavier University for the delivery system for online learning ANGEL. In addition to online learning the students are required to spend some time at the campus so that they can reinforce the things they have learned in their course. Students are also allowed to study abroad for a year after they apply and qualify for the program. Students enrolled at this university can either study a semester at sea or they can learn at educational centers in Australia, Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, India, Morocco, Scotland and Spain.
